    Stems of the Borage plant cooked in lightly salted water. Borage is a herb with edible leaves.

  • Use

    In Navarre, it is mostly used as a vegetable but in many areas of Mediterranean Europe, it is used in soups, stews, stocks and sauces or as an alternative to lettuce in salads. Anko suggest adding warmed borage, drained from the liquid in the jar, to cooked potatoes with olive oil and garlic.
